Zen (Mixed – 2010-2011)
I loved playing with Zen!! The friendships made while working hard towards a goal as a team was really rewarding. I loved it when we made it to Nationals, the team was so jacked and the games were so gritty and intense! Loved it. Lastly, I always loved warm ups before the game, psyching yourself and teammates up, getting ready to play, adrenaline pumping, it’s like waiting for the start gun at the beginning of a race.
Try out!! You never know whether you’ll make it unless you try! Pick a few personal goals about your game that you want to improve on over the summer and you’ll be able to see such a difference! Be open to suggestions and guidance from your teammates/coaches, their advice will help you to improve your game. Also, be willing to help your fellow teammates, if you see somebody frustrated or needing help, give them a hand, whether it be feedback, a throwing partner, an ear, you also make a difference on the team not just the coach/captain. You’re going to meet people and build some pretty amazing friendships while doing something you love!
